Wow and I thought that I had a bad day. Better you then me. I'm going to wipe away my tears and skip to the truck stop now.

That is something I have never, nor will I ever understand. What is so ###### important that you can't tell the other party, "Hey, I'll call ya back in a few." I certainly don't wanna hear anyone do their business, and I certainly don't want to advertise mine. As far as constantly wearing that headset..........YOU LOOK LIKE A MORON! Just in case you didn't know it. I know its lonely out here sometimes, but geesh, that's what voicemail and text messaging is for. If you miss the call, I'm sure they'll call you back.
Personally, my phone stays in the truck. My wife is with me, so I don't need to hang on to it for dear life. Everyone else, I love ya, but I'll get back to ya later. Just like we all need time out of the truck to decompress, take time away from your Bluetooth/phone. JMOpatrickal04 Thanks this. -
My day has been good, bad, and great.
The good: Made it to North Platte a day early so I can do a 34 hour restart.
The bad: Got a check engine light and MIL light on dash. Check engine went away but still have the MIL light on. Problem somewhere.
The great: Got 8.74 MPG from Albany, OR to North Platte, NE with 76,000 lbs.Stile Thanks this. -
My day could have been worse. If I had forgotten to check the connection & took off, best case scenario, I'd have looked like an idiot when I dropped the trailer. Worst case (as the rest of the day had been going), I'd have destroyed the trailer and possibly somebody else's truck.
So... though today sucked, I still count my blessings.Dinomite Thanks this. -
View attachment 67794 well at least you didn't bust your tail to break your own personal best miles in your new KW 680 only to drive 100 miles and the stupid stop engine light comes on and off, and even when you think you can still make it to Salt lake. It really starts acting crazy. You get to Laramie only to be told to go back to Cheyenne, and oh how fun that hill is to climb when your truck's stop engine light is on, and doesn't want to give you power to pull the hill, and the oil temp is climbing. Then to be told by KW they can't see you until the next day. So your carpet load is now late, and this is the 3rd weekend in a row the 70,000 mile truck has been in the shop for engine issue's. But hey it could have been worse.
Stile Thanks this. -
I go check in at Safeway gaurd shack at 0700 and first thing he tells me is that I am late. I asked how am I late for an 0800 appt. if it is only 0700 right now. He had no response and checked me in.

Hey, How are you all today? Are any of y'all at the Sapulpa yard today.
I have been reading up on JCT for awhile an decided to join y'all's side a
couple weeks ago. I'm sitting at the terminal in the orientation room, just finished drug screen.
According to Javada I was first finished with On demand back on Friday so should be first picking truck out.
I will update y'all how it goes hopefully better than that other guy last week, that's the only real negative I've read here.
My background includes about 4 years of OTR off and on. I just came from Equity. In the past I drove for PAM, Swift (go ahead and laugh) , and western express. Just haven't found the right company. JCT is smaller and still has newer equipment. Yet I will treat it as a business, have contract experience before my cdl days.
You all be safe out there.Stile, MachoCyclone and Treputt Thank this. -
Welcome aboard. Why would we laugh about Swift? Everyone has to start somewhere. My orientation group had a guy from CRE and CRST. They both past the road test just fine. I am sure you will to.Rick25 Thanks this.

Steel Tiger, Dinomite and MachoCyclone Thank this.

Did the road test with Mike in the older international eagle in the pouring rain.
That test is very relaxed testing, as long as you can control truck an keep it
on the road your fine. He will start explaining when you do something wrong but doesn't fail for it.
I'm just putting in an honest review for Mike and testing since that other driver seemed to have
a bad day with it.
