Sideboxes keep popping open...

On my W9, my sideboxes like to pop open, even when they are locked. What is causing this?

Maybe there is flexing going on or vibration. Can you adjust the striker plate or the lock/ shaft itself?

I put a self tapping screw into the striker plate, with just enough head protruding maybe 1/8 inch so when u closed it the striker could not get past it and let door open. My 95 w9 did that
