I'll have to do a lot of homework about which make and model truck I purchase. And I'm definitely looking into getting a APU shortly after purchase. I know it's a big upfront cost but it pays for itself in the long run. Thanks for the great advice
What truck would you buy? Cascadia, International or Volvo?

Before you praise older trucks to much.............think MPG.
And are you a good mechanic?
Because older trucks need a lot off TLC.
If you have to pay someone to do it all ..............lots off $$$.
If older trucks were so cheap to run,Swift,Schneider and all the mega's would run them.
Not raining on your parade but just pointing a few things out.bergy, Newtrucker48 and BobcatVolvo Thank this. -
good point there daf

very good points and yes I know how to do the basic things to keep a truck running properly. The things I can and should do myself I'm researching and learning more on how to do them. Other things I need to know I don't mind learning and I don't mind getting dirty. I'm not buying a truck tomorrow so I don't see you raining on my parade.
I have 6 months to 2 years doing my homework. I don't jump into things without research.

What truck is more reliable in anyone's experience?
-
personally the cascadia offers less problems then other trucks i have driven
with more dealerships if you need them and cheaper partsNewtrucker48 Thanks this. -
If it ain't got a hood it's no good!
I'd take a used 9900ix, or a W900L -
Thanks for your comment. I also heard the same thing but I wanted to make sure that was true. I'm leaning towards cascadia but wanted advice on the makes before I put down the money.

Stay far far away from a Volvo, all our 2011 and 2012 ' s have had Regen and major electronic issues.
