till you get more confident. throw 2" ratchet straps over the top of each of your tarps. ( saves your tarps if bungees break, and tarp doesn't fly away)

also. look into. rubber rope. they are adjustable. . the hooks are one sided so you won't have an "S" hook dig into your tarps making holes.

it will help make your tarp cleaner and less "blimpy" from bungees.

 

Heres a couple of loads I ran this week. A little more colorful then they usually are.
