Do you see all the Russian, Nigerian, and Malaysian immigrants coming to this country and companies LOVE to hire them all day long. Do you think they can verify the last 10 years employment in Nigeria? Nope. Play the game my friend play the game.

Every time you post some drivel like this it just goes to show everyone on TTR how useless your opinions are. Because of some of the loads we pull, the US Government requires this level of background investigation before employment. Wanna argue that?Tonythetruckerdude and FLATBED Thank this.

Unfortunately no i don't have any friends.

i didn't go to CDL school because i couldn't get the loan even with co signers. i worked for a temp agency working in factories and i didn't really make any friends or get close enough to anyone to exchange info. homeless guy, maybe that could work but i would probably just try to use family with different last names

yeah i might just do that

I just called them back to check my application status, and was told I was shot down due to an employment gap.
I also told them that not getting back to me about this, and thus my having to call them back to find out speaks volumes about them. I am certain it's good I can choose other options now.rockyroad74 Thanks this. -
I is got CDL

I tried to get hired on at Merritt (the company that had the contract to haul out of the Los Lunas NM Walmart DC before Swift bought them out.
Had to call them back to find out I wasn't hired.
I'm guessing it was due to an accident I had way back when
Anyways after the Swift buyout I was talking to some of the Walmart dedicated drivers who drove for Merritt and they said Merritt was picky like Walmart but Swift would have put me on the fleet no problem. -
It's ok. I will just keep applying to other options,a nd get hired. Prime is not the only company.

No it isn't. The FMCSA and the DHS doesn't care. It is a company hiring practice. FedEx does it a bit different than trucking companies, they handle especially out of Memphis a lot of high dollar stuff. If anyone has to "vouch" for unemployment, then there is something else that doesn't seem right in the app or the interview.
To the OP, just apply, if you need anything about employment gaps, be honest, ask them if they need something notorized and if the company doesn't communicate about these things, move on. With thousands of companies and a bunch offering training, it is easy to land a job.
