All this talk here about Ann Ferro understanding the industry and rules/ regulations to make the precious public safer cracks me up. Not about Ann ferro, not about repuclicans or democrats, its all about the almighty dollar and whos pulling whos strings to get what is best for them. None of this stuff surprises me anymore and I dont try to figure it out. You know the old saying sh#t flows downhill, unfortunately that would be us, the working man at the bottom of the hill.

Money trail? where's the money trail you speak of regarding eLogs and new HOS rules? I say it's more about power ... but mostly it's just that those appointed to decision-making positions [by morons] are morons. It's hard to soar with eagles when you work with turkeys.

Maybe "money" is part of this problem we see today, but I don't see it as being the primary motivator.

totally agree and they do the same to me. Driving all day then I immediately have to switch to all night. I am starting dedicated even though the pay will be less at least I will get home almost everyday and have a predicable schedule.

The problems are this...drivers entering this industry are being "dumbed" down so to speak...if these drivers would wake up...they would realize we drivers have more power than they think...just run exactly like the book and don't budge...if you're tired regardless of hours shut it down...eventually these co's and shippers & receivers and the knuckleheads in the fmsca would get the point...but until drivers realize this...status quo will continue as they have been & nothing will change Except for the worst.
