    That very well may be true , but with the question the way it was presented I have to assume the question was presented in a way stating foreclosure etc .. Meaning he would not have a large sum of funds to put down

    Exactly its a business .. The truck is a tool to make you profitable not something you go down to a car show with etc

    If I had a pile of cash credit wouldn't be a concern..lol and honestly if I had cash there's a good chance I'd stay where I'm at.

    So at what point do they let you look at the load board... Would be a lot easier to make a decision seeing some real world numbers. Not that i don't trust a bunch of guys on the internet i've never met or a recruiter... Lol

    Talk to a recruiter and get them to get you a snap shot of the load board in your area.
    That's how I did it..I worked the recruiter big time..that way I knew what freight was paying in my area.

    It's a big decision so work 'em!

    Don't forget economies of scale. What is a profitable business model with one truck may not work with ten trucks and vice versa. There are also reasons why the smaller companies tend to run KW/Petes.

    I'm not disagreeing just tossing a thought out there.

    Day 4 of orientation .. Go back a few pages I have orientation mapped out for you

    they give you a welcome user name password on like Tuesday but it's hit and miss if it works or not

    That might be why they are still a small company too. Pete's and kW cost a lot more then freightliners or volvo's. I'd rather have a cheaper truck that I know I can get fixed anywhere rather then pay the extra 30,000 for the peterbilt name.

    No they use Freightliner because they're cheap..the Cascadia is a big improvement over previous FL's.
    Smaller companies tend to go with a better built truck in most cases due to fleet size...so they can afford to buy the better grade of trucks or even upgrade the cheaper ones for driver comfort.

    If Schneider would've had a O/O spec'd Cascadia I would have bought one.
    I like cascadia's just fine..but they are company spec'd..plain jane with no amenities.
    I'm living in the truck all week or longer..sorry gotta be comfy.

    Just saying..
