Most companies will mail the check to your house.

comcheck card, or something like that. Most companies are getting away from mailing checks out.

I work for a company that is "out and back". They pay by the trip. If you live or bank, in town, they will actually take your down and deposit it for you. If you live out of town, they'll just give you the check.

Read your other post about problems with automatic debits for some payday loan company.
Walk away from that and start fresh; most trucking companies have access to credit unions for their employees. Ask about that at orientation and if possible, join the credit union and have your pay deposited there. You can get debit & credit cards from credit unions with lower interest rates also.

Avoid Comdata what ever you do. That is one fee happy way of banking. If you don't want a regular bank account then check out Netspend.com. It's a prepaid debit/Visa cc with no crazy fees but a $5 a month flat fee. I started using that around 2007 for online purchases and I like that company. They even have free overdraft protection if you sign up for direct deposit. Perfect for a single trucker if you pretty much live on the road. Use cash back when making purchases and you can avoid ATM fees.

Yeah avoid autopay. Some places out there have sticky fingers and will take money at random. I had one company that would deduct the money 2-3 weeks before the agreed time. Another company that double dipped. I always manually pay online and that stops all that stuff.

Isn't that Bluebird one a Walmart friendly card?

Why wouldn't you want DD? I haven't stood in line at the bank in years and have never had a problem.

Great question to the OP, as I've been doing DD for 15+ years in various jobs and absolutely love it! Plus, in some cases, the money will be in your account several days before you get the check and have it deposited. Good luck!
