Because se he is a wanna be. He doesn't want to work. He also has no common sense. No Emory's message your dispatcher. Doesn't respond in 15 minutes give him a call. "Hi , billy bob it's big daddy truck number blah blah no Emory's here any way you can find the nearest one that's sitting at a customer?" Easy as pie!

One thing the schools, recruiters and slick truck magazines fail to emphasize, trucking is a job. It is a hard job at times and requires lots of personal dedication just to get done. Great video. Be safe and from one Army veteran to another, peace Brother.

    It ain't just trucking either.

You could make this video with just about any industry. Kids come outta school/college thinking they are going straight to the top without doing the grunt work on the way. Not all kids........but many.

I think one of the problems today is that kids don't work when they are young. They oughta start working in the summers when they are 14 or so. Then, they oughta work about 25 plus hours per week during the school year after 16. I did 30 plus hours a week at a gas station staring at 16 and it taught me some valuable lessons.

It's not that new drivers have everything handed to them but let's recap on the threads posted weekly.

Does so and so have apus,
Does so and so run new trucks
    Which company pays the most
What are so and so trucks governed at
I want a lot of home time and 50k+/yr
    You get the point.

I remember even before I started driving. If you needed an income and a job was open you were sitting in any truck air conditioning heating or not you were driving to provide not playing musical trucks looking for the right seat to fill.

My point being is. Take what you can get and work from there.. do you think trump is going to build the Great Wall of California over night? I don't think so
