The problem is you. You are trying to make it without a plan. You cannot expect to have any kind of real success until you plan for it and act accordingly.

Where do you want to be in 6 months, 1 year, 5 years? So far all I have heard is "making money and home." Thats not a plan, that is a fuzzy dream. Honestly, you could have done that driving taxi, but your lack of planning spoiled that. And now you are finding that once again lack of planning is spoiling trucking.

You need to sit down and do the hard work of forming a plan for how you are going to succeed.

Then come back and tell us your plan, and we will help. There is more than enough experience here to find any flaws and point out shortcuts.

Everyone here is trying to help, but you will get no hand outs. We did it, and you can too, but stop being stupid about it.

 

Local is tricky held a dream job running out and backs with ctl out of a plant in concord nc were I live but just out of the blue things changed and now im gonna haul gas. What you need to do is find a plant,warehouse etc and figure out who has there business , proximity to a needy costumer is valuable.

 

These companies change carriers like you change drawers.
