My wife thinks that I have lost it. I am considering applying for a temp job over next winter. I think I may try a season as an ice road trucker. After several years of running the Rockies in winter, I think I can pull it off.
-
I wanted to do it too...work 4 minths and make a killing...I think its like 10k a load right
-
I have no idea what it pays. Just the biggest challenge I can think of. I just want to be able to say that I did it.
-
Ive heard it like 150k to 200k in r months...lol then be off for 8....man I would love that
-
I think your wife has you pegged on this one..
Gotta brother that lives south of Houston, don't think he has ever been North of Intestate 10 more than a couple times in his life..
When the temp drops below 80 degrees, he is looking for a coat.. When the temp dips below 60, can't get him outa of the house... He dreams of moving to Montana, yea, right... Never happen......
Driving over the Rockies, takes less than few hours.. Driving the Ice Roads for the winter would turn you into
one big Texas size popsicle..harlycharly55 Thanks this. -

I was living in Wyoming and later Colorado for a couple of years. I am familiar with working in temperature of -40 with the accompanying windchill.
