Yeah, Kevin is good. Real nice guy. Always approachable, and willing to help in most situations. More than a couple times I parked on that back lot in Ft.worth to get around having to take a shower at the Lancaster terminal. A lot quieter over there, too. Always asked Kevin/Ed/Connie.

Like I tell everyone, watch out for Connie (and Ed.) She's a nice old gal, but if you get on her badside...well...just don't get on her bad side. The easiest way to do this is not screw up, listen and do your best and make the adjustment and changes they want you to make. Same goes for Ed.

All of them will be good friends of yours once you get out of the academy and a bit of time under your belt with them.


Dinner AND breakfast, at the academy? That's new. They didn't feed us at all, when I was there. Only breakfast at the La Quinta, and that was only for as long as we were there. They shipped the class before us, our class, and the class after us to 1801 Mony as soon as a room opened for us to grab.

Get that static air brake test written, guy. What are you doing wasting time on TTR?!
You need to pray that like it's the Lords Prayer. Morning, noon and evening.

 

And for petes sake, dont forget to turn the key on for that air leak test!

Hey guys im new to trucking im currently at ffe in texas it has been great i just finished my test today passed all 5 and got behind the wheel the same day just straight line backing but it was nice getting behind the wheel of the big monster lol there are some great teachers keven mainly he explains stuff in dummy terms for u. There real straight forward if u dont study ur not gunna pass we started with 1r people and are currently down to 11 we feel lime 2 more are going to be leaving soon because they just dont get it or just wont study ones a foreigner and ones a female passed the eye exam at ffe n got to the dps and couldnt pass theirs.....how ironic.....and all i have to say now is if ur debating on weather its a scam or something like that its not i thought the same thing when i was doing research and as far not getting loads n all that crap they had some recent grads come back saying how much they have been driving just stopping by sayin hello and stuff but one guy said he went from the east coast to the west coast in 4 days. If your a beginner thinking about trucking word of advice STUDY STUDY STUDY GET A CDL MANUAL AND STUDY you wont need section 4 and 10 though ull be fine......later for now safe driving everyone

I would say just a notebook pen cdl manual and any papers they gave u or emailed ur social liscence and ur med card but im pretty sure u were going to bring the last 3 anyway lol
