Have heard conflicting things about K&B, just putting this out to feel around and see if anyone has any info, good or bad.
I have 1 year reefer, no abandonment, no accident's, live in Texas, if that helps at all.
Thanks in advance!
Keep the shiny side up...

I drove for kb for 2 yrs. What is it you would like to know? What things have you heard about kb?
jestedsniper Thanks this. -
Thanks for responding PattyJ!
I have a heard a mix of the pay guarantee is bogus and they will try to get out of paying you if you come up short (other than driver fault). Have you had that problem?
What kind of millage did you get? Was it consistent or did you have issues making miles?
Right now I'm torn between K&B and National Carriers Inc. I like the pay guarantee at K&B, but I like how National is about 5 minutes from my house.
How did your DM treat you at K&B? That is another thing that I've heard bad things about, but mainly the night dispatch team. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again! -
The pay guarantee is not bogus but there are strings attached. You have to accept all loads and ontime delivery.Otherwise for that week you'll get paid mileage. So say you turn down a load because you're tired or accept a load then don't take the load because you're tired sick or whatever, you'll get paid mileage pay.kb is a very aggressive company. They keep a close eye on their drivers and if you don't answer the phone after so many times, they will send a driver to wake you up.KB will dictate the drivers hrs with some loads. Some of the dispatchers are very intimidating Be prepared to accept all loads otherwise they will put service failures on your dac.Come wintertime you will be required to chain up if need be.Only way kb will let it slide is if the road in not passable.I got along real well with all my DMS but I have heard how other dms talked to their drivers. With kb loads comes first safety when their's time.I was a local driver for kb but I was there long enough to know how kb treats their otr drivers. You couldn't pay me enough to drive otr with kb.

http://cdllife.com/2014/video/video-raw-ugly-truth-trucking-true-truck-driving-hero/ Please watch this video jestedsniper. This guy drove for kb and this is a sample of what the drivers have to put up with.Bottom line is loads come first no matter what.

Thank you very much pattyj. You probably just saved me countless headaches. Have a great day!

I wouldn't trust KB any further than I could throw a fridge. Don't need the stress or head aches either, or the problems when I leave. I read from someone else how they got billed for damage they declared on an inspection report when they got the truck.

That may have been me. It did happen to me and I've discussed it here.jestedsniper Thanks this.
