Probably a Cat ACERT? Not the best reputation although I've run a Cat C-13 ACERT (very little though) and didn't have too many complaints. If you're going to go with the Cat I would stick with the 6NZ or 3406...both pre-emissions great motors.

If you happen to find one with a CAT, I'd be very interested

My question would be are you going to get better fuel economy with a different truck of just the same? If you are not going to see an improvement in MPG then maybe take the money and dump it into your current ride and drive it another bunch of miles. At least you know the history on your truck. Just my thought YMMV

04 to 14 is not old

For the miles, 10spd, and the fact that it is a fleet spec'd truck, they are about $5000-$7000 to high.rollin coal Thanks this.

keep the truck you have and put the money it would cost you to trade into your current truck. I made the mistake of buying a "new" truck three years ago and I've regretted it everyday. I should've just kept the old truck and rebuilt the motor and gave it a new paint job.

Yeah I noticed it doesn't even have power passenger window. Some may consider that a luxury but I don't. Can't tell you the number of times I roll down that window (or both) to reduce glare when backing, or even in rain to help see backing up. I'd be ticked every time I crawled across the seat to crank it down. Crazy it's like that even old early 80's trucks I've seen had air powered passenger window.

my t600 is spec by kinards. It's a good special fleet truck. Crank window and 10 sp manuel. still luxurious with diamond vit.
