    Hello!
I got a few questions, if anyone wouldn't mind helping me out, It would be appreciated!

I live in BC and want to get into Trucking. but from what i gather its #### near impossible without even 1 year experience.
Also, i don't have my High School Diploma or GED. So, how hard would it be to find work even if i would have to relocate to Alberta?
    or is there no hope?

Not that hard really. Move to the Red Deer area. It's very central so nearly everyone has an office there. Find a job as a swamper, rig movers, crane companies, vac trucks etc. It's dirty hard work but probably within a year they will send you for your license. You will see and learn more about how to drive than any stupid driving school will teach you and get paid to do it. Swamping can pay ok enough to live reasonably

Hey guys! New to the forum here. Working on getting some funding for my class 1 license in the near future. Just wondering if anybody knows if it's possible to get on as a Rock truck driver in Alberta with no experience, and without a class 1 license?
    Thanks!

Might do that until I can get the $ for driving school

Scroll back through the pages. Companies named who will train you and pay for class 1.

Nothing stopping you, thousands of people who got their foot in the door that way and did well out of it. AB is the land of opportunity. It just takes tenacity, determination, and drive to make it.

you could try Downer contracting in Canmore/Exshaw they work year round, rookie pay will be less than $19.00/ hr, but you have to start somewhere.
