That doesnt really work. Especially for the op if he has an examiner like mine. She was a beautiful young woman. So you have a mixture of fear, nervousness, poor performance, and then probably an erection and extreme horniness.

What kind of a combination for success is that supposed to be?

Sir,
I used the word scared because it relayed my level of anxiety im not scared to drive a tractor trailer or do the job itself at all. i look forward to it. The word scared meaning fearful; frightened is just being honest about my situation. I am not ashamed to admit it. I am sure when you learned to drive a truck 33 years ago you had the same feelings isnt that true? maybe mine are more extreme but i needed to share and feel I wasn't alone. I'm not here looking for arguments just friends and opinions and I respect yours as well. Im sure your a tough fella. Im a 47 yr old rookie!

Was gonna send you a private message , but decided to say this in a public way...I in no way wish you not to pass the test/s coming up this week-end , I wish you all of the luck possible. All I did was give you the answer I thought was pertinent to your situation...Please forgive me if I offended you in any way. But this is a cut-throat industry , and I answered in real life terms....not in a sugar-coated way..... I hope that your career is as long , safe and profitable as mine was....I retired in 2011 .....I really do wish you all my best.

pattyj and snjtrucker Thank this.

I understand your feelings, and what you are thinking. Might be right.
But after only one failure, it is not time to pull the plug on this fella. Not yet. He deserves another try, we all get nervous. Shoot, I get nervous in heavy traffic all the time. Driving on slick roads ? nervous. Stop light turning yellow and I cannot safely stop ? nervous I am. Overweight approaching the scales ? Again, I get nervous.
There are plenty of new wannabes that do not need to called truck drivers. I agree. But this guy ? Let's give him another chance. I think he can do it.

Put a good bit of blame on these so called schools. He needs more help, and it seems like it is not available. Most people cannot master enough skills in several weeks to get a CDL.

Tonythetruckerdude, 8thnote and pattyj Thank this.

Worry is like a rocking chair. It's always in motion, but it never gets you anywhere. So why do we struggle with it? And what good does it do? Worry is the opposite of faith, and it steals our peace, physically wears us out, and can even make us sick. When we worry, we torment ourselves. We're doing the devil's job for him! Worry is caused by not trusting God to take care of the various situations in our lives. Too often we trust our own abilities, believing that we can figure out how to take care of our own problems. Yet sometimes, after all our worry and effort to go it alone, we come up short, unable to bring about suitable solutions.

Use the remaining time before your next test to practice, practice, practice and let God take away the fear and give you the knowledge and skill needed to pass your test. God is always near to you, especially when you are filled with fear and anxiety, but he is a gentleman and does not intervene with your life unless you ask him. Believing in God doesn't change what you deal with in life, it changes how you deal with it. Best wishes to you my friend.

Well thats awesome and im glad you do not fear anything. I guess were all designed differently and you were blessed with no fear. No one is designed for any job without training first unless they were born with a gift. I will see you on the road someday. Take care :)
