In Arkansas its illegal everywhere in the state, but I've used them to take my DOT 30 minute time out. Just have to use a little gray matter to know where.

I have not seen one of ramp or on ramp that was legal to park. It's very dangerous people are coming off the road at highway speeds and if you are parked in somebody ran into the real your trailer and got killed you'd be in a world of trouble. I personally would avoid it at all costs

I already have about five different places to shutdown everywhere I go and a ramp is not one of them. In the winter the interstate got shutdown and I was running out of time and searched for business parks and found a warehouse for sale and parked there. Again, never used a ramp but ol billy bob and his 12 year old rand mcnally map as his only source of direction will have to. Two reasons I hate ramps too is its hard to sleep with your bed tilted at a 30 degree angle plus the semis and 4 wheelers with loud mufflers flying past you and shaking your whole truck. Especially in Texas it must be the law to have loud mufflers.

The East Coast - Mass Maine NH VT etc will harass the living daylights out of you and then some. The best advice I can offer is to plan ahead and know when you are going to end up and avoid the hassle

Throw out your triangles and tell DOT you're waiting for the mechanic.
6wheeler Thanks this.
