Afternoon Gents: I am a newbie, please equate with not to smart just yet. I've been approved by Celadon to attend their school as of today. I was told I could begin class June 30th 2014 in Gadsden Alabama. Took less than four (4) hours to be approved. I was told the cost is $7,200, but free if you drive 120K miles at .15 cents a mile, or 240K miles at .18 cents a mile. Always driving as a team and getting mileage credit for your Team member's miles too. Like I say, I'm not sure just yet about Celadon, they responded almost instantly and it worries me some. I've also applied with Prime and CRST. I am waiting for Prime and CRST's approval.

I've created a spreadsheet listing pros and cons, also been reading a multitude on Internet based information, and now, well I'm ready to research this forum. I'm leaning toward Prime, but any advice would be helpful for sure.

Honestly, I don't think 1850 or even 2500 is a bad deal for better training than one would get at a CDL mill or "free" training at a mega in exchange for slave's wages until you've paid off your debt.

I visited Sage school in Muncie , Indiana last week. They said that their is a Grant that pays for half the school and Carter Express in Anderson Indiana will pay the other half. You owe no money but have to stay there one year.
Visited Carter Express and talked with a driver who had been there for a while and really likes the company.

Went in and talked with Kelly and she said if I have any more questions just call .

I am heading back to Korea on Sunday but told her I may fill out the app and move back soon and hook up with them and Sage.

Trucks seemed to be mostly Volvo's with automatics. Looked very clean and organized around their terminal .
