Living here (well 60 miles away anyways LOL) I can give you some insight about Reno, Winter times are mild, BUT you have to go over the hill for freight most times, and Donner can close in a heart beat. There are a couple shippers/Receivers here, Wal-Mart and a paint outfit that I always left my trailer at. Lots of deadhead miles to pickup freight when coming out of hometime.
Summer time is hot 90-100's, been up to 105 or so this week. Plenty of truck parking if you know where to look.FullMetalJacket Thanks this. -
Just a few days lol sitting at alley cassity in Nashville hoping they can figure out what they did last time that causes me to stay in reverse while shifter is in neutral sometimes

Sounds right up my alley. Priorities are #1 weather & accessablity to desert, mountains, & other states I like. Mexico in reach. No individual income taxes a plus.
Will be looking to buy isolated acreage way away from towns, or in smallest communities I can find. The further in boonies, the better. Country boy to the core.
Going to buy properties like this in several locations, so I can move a large RV around at will as home. Can always put up more permanant structures or mobiles as needed. Goal is places to stay in the rare occassions I may get off road for few days, or even enroute. Just never take off & will probably be like that for at least 2-3yrs. Truck IS my home, with all my stuff in storage.
This area (not necessarily Reno itself) really appeals to me for many reasons for first location.
Hopefully , will run in to you at some point before then. Otherwise, may be PM'ing you when closer to deciding. Won't be until at least next Spring/Summer. I have nothing but time....... and in no hurry. More time to see more places, the better.

You bet!
And......... one of my favorite CB shops about 1/4 mile down same road, Walcott CB. Familiar with them for years online, but been nice to see them in person somewhat frequently since out. Great folks.
Now, if they would just stay out of my pocket book...........
Hope things are getting better.
