My grandad started driving trucks in the late 50s. They needed two oversized dozzers in mississippi, and told him he had the rest of the day to learn how to drive a truck in the parking lot before his trip the next day.The next day they gave him gas money and sent him and another guy on there way, both pulling a dozzer.

doesn't swift get a bunch of negative comments because they train their drivers for a month and they STILL have a terrible saftey rating
maybe they are right -
schneider gave me 10 days of training when I learned how to drive a tanker, pulling out of the OC I had no clue how to drive a tanker, it later got me fired from Oakley

why do a lot of the big companies have so many young trainers? does anybody think that might cause some of this conflicts? i just hope when i go to swift i can get a mentor like chinatown or a lot of the older guys/gals that know what they are doing and can give me some good advice

wow, that wasn't a predjucided statement at all
to be honest alot of trainers don't train to be trainers, they do it for the money.
I lost alot of respect for my trainer when he said he mailed his $3500 paycheck to his GF to bail his girlfriend out financially.
I made $450, you made $3500, and I did half the work -
my point was, the reaon they do is because, for the most part, anyone who wants to be a trainer they usually make a trainer, so they are 100% anonmoyus really

My trainer was passing me off so I pulled in a restarea and was like if u wanna tell me how to drive u can just take over and he was cool after that haha
