as a owner operator you should clear that much. I however don't own the truck. Can't say why you feel the way you do or even speculate but your opinion is yours, not mine and not the way it is. the important thing here is that were both happy doing what we do so why try to bash someone?

"Don't trust any trucking company that's in the stock market. That's all you need to know. They couldn't give a rat's ### about truck drivers. They are only concerned that their stock holders make the green stuff. I worked for JB for 4 years before they completely abandoned their OTR division, in which case, at that time they were giving me and other OTR drivers around 700 miles a week to make us quit. I do find it surprising though how smaller companies aren't able to undercut JB regardless of what they pay their drivers since they have to pay a fortune to their stock holders. I work for Averitt now days and it's owned by one man. So all the profit goes mainly to him. It doesn't have to be split up so many times."
And don't buy any stock in any company. Put all under of your money inside a mattress or bury it your back yard underneath an oak tree because the mattress makers and the shovel makers are the only ones that are concerned about your ###, LOL.Seems to me all you're concerned about is the green stuff too.
You sure know a lot about economics. LOL. No wonder you're surprised.Last edited: Sep 22, 2013

Whoever said anything about buying stocks? Nice strawman Carl. It's good to buy stock when the employees get the shaft. More money for stockholders. Why do you think it is that stocks always go up when a company says it's gonna slash jobs or workers pay? Yeah, I probably know more about economics than you do Carl.

I drove for JB for 5 years over all. Started in the Flatbed Division in 93 drove with them for a year and a half and bought my own truck leasing to Landstar Inway. Came back again in 99 I made 50 thousand my last year with them, downside was I was only home 65 days that year and my wife said it was time to get our own truck again and I leased back to Landstar. J.B. Hunt always treated me well. Were that bad times, yep. I pissed and moaned and drove on. I have been soldiering the last 9 years and I'm looking to get back in the industry. It saddens me that things have seemed to shange to the worse instaed of getting better. I agree that drivers need to unite in one voice. But as you can see from these post that idea has about as much chance as a snowball in hell. We, Truckers, are our own worst enemy. We are one of the most important links in the supply chain and too dense to know our strength if united in one voice. Nuff said.
superflow Thanks this. -
