3406e turbo and transmission

    Heck it all good most I am finding is a's but think I did find a b remand but wow its got to be made of gold lol. Will keep looking not doing the trans right away just getting options and a feel for the cost.
    Any suggestions on the turbo?

    The 18B is better than the 13A. If you have something against splitting the low range. just put a 13 speed handle on it.

    Oh I think I would perfer an 18 anyways but funny you say that I have the super 10 in now and it has a 13spd handle on it lol but just know I want atleast a 13 28 will be ideal.

    So what do you do, leave it flipped up and then use the splitter for high/low every gear? That would take some getting used to. :biggrin_2559:

    Yep the front stays up and just split the top end (last 4 gears)
    It did and every now and again I still flip the other switch its a PITA for sure

    I noticed you listed your hometown as Orleans Indiana. You got some very knowledgeable people south of you in Chandler, In. CTC, Commercial Truck Components. They don't mind talking to you over the phone, and they have probably forgotten more about truck transmissions than I ever new. Phone #-812-925-6891 I did notice your hometown was noted for it's dogwood festival, us old timers preferred the fork of a dogwood to make our flips (slingshots) out of. We used red rubber inner tubes for the pull straps, until the surgical rubber came about. Simpler times, you bet. Call them people and tell them your set up, they'll clue you in.

    Thanks for the truck info and the cool toys of the past. Made a few with surgical rubber tried a few with black rubber tube never shot very well with them though not enough snap. LOL but was raised in Colorado so used aspen hardened over a fire

    I have one on my Volvo the 16913a took a crapp on me so I found A 18913B
