$2 Gas Prices Send Truckers Across the Border

A few words of caution, from someone who has spent many months at a time in Mexico over the past 40 years.

#1) Do not have ANY weapon in your truck...you will go to jail, if caught with any weapon.
#2) Do not have ANY ammunition in your truck...you will go to jail as in #1.
#3) Know where you are going BEFORE you enter Mexico (Don't be wandering around looking for a PEMEX).
#4) Make sure your insurance will cover you in Mexico BEFORE you enter Mexico.
#5) Know how you are going to deal with the mordida (the bite...bribes) if need be.
#6) Convert your dollars to pesos on the American side BEFORE entering Mexico and pay with pesos.
#7) Make sure there is NOTHING in your tractor that could vaguely be thought to be illegal.
#8 ) Make sure you have extra fuel filters...with you.
#9) Lock your truck up when you get out of it to fuel your truck...be alert to anyone around your truck.

 

i wonder how much they are going to cheat on highway use taxes????? for us highways...

 

Scince theres no hurry to return to the American side. Might as well get a great deal on a full service,repair,wash,custom paint and polish job.With the money your saving.

I will stay on the American side. I dont't mind the price difference.But have met other drivers wo have done well venturing WAY south.The can talk the language,live the life, and everthing.

 

I would like to comment on your last words, lifes a b why vote for one, when will you understand that if we don' t show respect for each other why do we exspect respect from others, show some respect for yourself and maybe it will find it's way back.

And the highway use taxes will be paid in full.Just exempt at the pump like MI,IN,ect
