13.99 is a reason I would add the other .001 and bounce like a basketball... SEE YA... 13.99 is beyond BS.... The best thing you were taught in Economics class is... YOUR FEET ARE YOUR BEST DEFENSE... If it smells like cologne leave it alone if it smells like fish make it a dish...

My truck is a 97. Freightliner Century with a 60 S 500 HP Detroit. I bought it in 2000. Now have 1,670,700 on it.I financed it at the bank I do business with. No regrets. Wouldn't have a new truck. Not dependable.

Just another thought about where to get your financing. You should have a go at getting a SBA loan for the truck. I was approached by my CU about this, and may go for it down the road if I change trucks. The great thing about this kind of loan is that the CU are not on the hook for the full amount if you default. So it's a good enough reason for them to offer you a more favorable rate.
I personally think it's a lame excuse when they say the reason for the higher int rate is because you're a first time buyer.
Don't fall for that BS. I was a first time buyer and I got a 6.9% rate for my truck. Not too shabby but my FICO was in the 760-780 range. Depending on which bureau you looked at.
Go for it my friend and good luck to you. There's going to be someone out there that's ready to deal and give you some great numbers.

OP,as soon as i read "recaps" ,i said OMG.
    Don't do it.

Follow the advice others gave you about finance.

    Shop around.
Even bother to go to a dealer and have them make a offer(finance included) on a brand new truck.
Then when you have info on 5 different ways off getting a truck, run all the numbers on a Excel spreadsheet.
Then decide on what the numbers tell you is the best option.

    1 very old truck and rebuild it(are you a good mechanic?)pre 04
2 old truck and run it a year ,as is.between 04 and 07.
    3 not so young truck07 to 10.
4 young but secondhand 11 and up
    5 brand new

Think about how many miles you will run.

Small hint on buying a very old truck............look to CA,they are selling some nice old trucks there because off CARB.

like you have been told that interest rate is terrible. My 04 cloumbia just blew up couple of weeks ago and i went to fyda youngstown to look and the salesman turned me on to a banker in hermitage, pa with first national bank, i dont have perfect credit 685 score there abouts. The ladys name is Sarah Parker got me 3.99% no money down. Good deal i thought. Said if you have 650 score she can help.

Thanks for all your opinions. I will go look my local CU and Wells Fargo see if they can get me loan. What I heard was that some of the bank who gives lowest interest rate required 2yr minimum on your small business.

Is there an age restriction on what you can buy? What about minimum price for a truck? What's the lowest they will finance you for? Prepayment penalties? This is good news. That APR is horrid for the original poster. Just think, probably 1/3 to 1/2 is just interest alone. You could lease a new truck for what they're doing. Cut and run is all I can say.

No age restrictions, said if over 10 years old the apr could go up a little. But i bought a 2003 coronado for $31500 and got 3.99, nothing down $591 for 60 months. She said nothing about minimums, said find a truck and she would get it done. I. still owed 2200 on my tailer and she wanted to take that over and add to the loan, but i was going to pay it off.
