A properly speced truck hits best RPM at intended cruise speed. Most company trucks are designed for 65 mph, Going above that is going above best rpm and wasting fuel. A truck speced for 75 will get better mpg one gear down going 65. A truck speced for 65 doing 65 will do even better. Slower trucks end up with a lower final gear ratio when in first, thus putting less strain on the clutch.
Aero dynamics at 65 hurt mpg. 75 is exponentially worse. RPM has nothing to do with it, because a properly speced truck will hit the right rpm at intended cruise speed.
Gas lawn movers and a diesel motor with DPF are completely different animals. Any comparison is just stupid. You can have a govener and still reach the best rpm for the motor. Most newer motors have best output at around 1400-1500 rpm. Winding up to 2100 will give more HP but you loose all your tourque. The happy medium is 1500ish depending on motor...thats where it should be run -
So, you didnt keep track of mpg yourself and actually run a test at different speeds. A good O/O keeps rack of mpg himself...on every fill up. Thats the only way you can learn to improve. 4 month vacation doesn't explain why you lost your truck. Not keeping track of mpg on your own certainly didnt help.

Leasing may work if you lease through a 3rd party an NOT through a carrier. I thought you said you want to live in your truck...why not sell the house and buy a truck. If you wern't so picky ont he truck you could pick up a junker for 10 grand and work your way up to a new volvo 780 with an apu and no speed limit.

I watched it fairly well..but I was more busy averaging 6500 mi a week..and keeping my exwife from snapping under the constant stress..and sleeping in a moving truck while keeping my online mortgage company generating revenue..but in the end made only 500000 that year and lost my wife and my mortgage company..so I was a foolish man it seems

Good luck with that. It seems your search it going real well so far lol. Btw Prime needs your bank account info for direct deposit. For any job to just reach into your bank account and yank some money out when they feel like you owe them is illegal.
-
Well one of their forms was an agreement that I had to sign to get hired giving them permission to take FROM my account in the event of "SETTLEMENT ERRORS"

Ive been here 3yrs and i have no idea what your talking about. I bet it was paperwork for direct deposit you probably just didnt read what you were signing.

How about buying your own truck so you can meet your demands??
1.My truck runs 67 and I do just fine. Nobody is stealing from me by driving a "slower" truck.
2.As for an APU, sign on to a company that runs them.
3.You don't need more than a 1500 watt inverter. 2500-3000 are a waste of money and a waste of power.
4.As for CPM, earn your way to what you want. Don't demand it. Earn it.
5. Most companies run the west. But the majority of the population is east of the Mississippi. That's where the work is.
6. Once again, buy your own.
7. Not every week is a winner. Deal with it.
8. Most companies don't "steal". It's usually a different story entirely.halfchubb, blairandgretchen and AZS Thank this. -
He already tried that and went broke. But if you keep reading, you'll see all sorts of excuses for why it wasn't his fault.
Since Richter has already taken on this particular quixotic quest, I'm just watching from the sidelines and thinking of the old poker saying: "don't tap the glass." Sooo hard... finger drawn back.... boink!blairandgretchen, joseph1135 and LoneCowboy Thank this.
