From Day One - Abilene Motor Express (Richmond, Wytheville, VA)

Hey YardDart you got my old truck. Her name is Christine. Lol! I had her in the shop twice for the a/c issue. The first time it worked for a couple of months before the a/c went all crazy again. This last time I got switched out right after input it in the shop for the a/c issue. Barry worked on it a couple of weeks ago when it wouldn't start. He cleaned up the battery connections and it worked fine again. She broke down in Little Rock a few months ago and had the Turbo replaced. The dings were there when I got her. As far as the interior, when I got her she was a disgusting mess. She wreaked of cigarette smoke and piss. I went through several bottles of Lysol and Febreeze. I spent a lot of time cleaning when I first got her. Also, she responds well to sweet talk. Lol!!

 

Also, she just got a new passenger side steer tire. I had the shop check the passenger side inner drive tire (can't remember if it was front or rear) because of the weird wear pattern. I guess it was ok because they didn't change it.

 

Shirley, how's Sophia doing? I got the Spanish down for my wife....lol She understands I'm still learning.

 

Sophia is wonderful! Did you see that YardDart got Christine? Don't rely on my Spanish, it's terrible and I'm very rusty. I'll be at the yard in a couple of hours. Heading out to Tracy, CA this afternoon.

 

Your Spanish got me in hot water with my wife the other day, I blamed it all on you. Is Tonya going with you to Tracy?

 

I'm happy to take the blame. Yes, Tanya will be going. Are you meeting up with your trainee this week?

 

The interior was was really clean but the fairing is the only thing I care to get fixed. It looks horrible ans since Abilene gets them from volvo already painted George said it would be 2-4 weeks because they had to fix the ones they were selling and he used the fairings he had for them. But he has 6 more on order. Truck tuns really good just need to get A/C working fot the rest of summer. I live in OKC Oklahoma and the temp. Was 98 plus this past week. Thanks for the info on the truck.

No you're not, the monkees name is Seth, the trainee is named Tonya.

 

I'm suppose to, except they left for Riverside on Friday. We shall see how this plays out.
