Ya I know. Cl doesn't show much. He has just gotten job recently as he lives in Riverside but is from Visalia so he is preparing to move there. If he says is good we may consider it if only because we are from Cali even though am not dying to move back there. It seems here in TX is where people from Cali come to so idk.

    TruckinBuc Thanks this.

Thanks for the info and keep me updated, if you can. I'm hauling crude in TX but family/house are in Cali, so I like to know of any other options. It does seem like a lot of people from Cali are coming to TX lol. Thanks for your help!

Just wondering how the job is going for your uncle in Bakersfield? Also, can you tell me the name of the company and if they are hiring? I really appreciate the help!

I've always liked percentage better. Work as many hours as you want. By the hour depends if it's just a 12 hour day or not. When NW oklahoma was hot, I could work an average of 15 hours a day 6 days a week.

I'm up in North Dakota about to start a job on percentage make my own schedule live in the truck

    $16.00 an hour X 40 hours = $640.00.

    Time and 1/2: $16.00 an hour X 1.5 = $24.00 an hour.

    $24.00 an hour X 30 hours = $720.00.

    $640.00 + $720.00 = $1,360.00 a week.

    $1,360.00 X 52 weeks = $70,720.00 a year.

    This is EXCELLENT money!!

$16 an hour is low. You may not always get 70 hours but you might get more than 70. Depends

This is my dilemma too. I currently haul US Mail and make 22.34 hr. But only can get around 46 hrs a wk.
I interviewed to haul water for a well company and it starts at 17 and goes to 19 after 6 mos.
He said time n a half after 40 and his guys average 60-70 hrs a wk.
Money is better but not sure I want to live there lol

Now change this to NoDak, $24/hr

    $24.00 an hour X 40 hours = $960.00.

    Time and 1/2: $24.00 an hour X 1.5 = $36.00 an hour.

    36.00 an hour X 30 hours = $1080.00.

    $960.00 + $1080.00 = $2,040.00 a week.

    $2,040.00 X 52 weeks = $106,080.00 a year.

And this was my starting wage, plus full benefits from day one.

All those numbers look good till 33% in fed, fica, and ss taxes are taken out. State taxes, and sales taxes. I'd say close to 50% I'd lost to taxes and increased cost of living ; (

My last check fed and state taxes was $1300!!!!!!!!!
