    Can you take the written (computer) pre-trip inspection test (texas) before the driving test or must you take it the day of?

    Back when I got my CDL in Texas.
    All of the written / computer stuff was part of the Permit.

    We did the driving test like a week later or so.

    A computerized pre trip? My how things are advancing. Pretty soon you'll be able to take your drive test via a simulator.

    I just finished truck driving school in texas.. I took my written pre-trip and all my other written tests, including endorsements, on one day, then did my driving test about 3 weeks later.

    But they will be going back to the old way of pre-trip very soon.
