I am about to start CDL school, but I would like to sit down with a Schneider Driver to get the straight skinny on driving. Nothing is ever as good as it sounds or as bad as it seems. I just want to sort things out.

So here's the deal - if you are passing by the Pilot Truck Stop on 95 exit 40 any time soon shoot me a PM and I'll meet you there and be happy to buy breakfast/lunch/dinner. We don't have to eat there, I know several good places and it may be a change up for you.

    Regards

    Hal

Great choice! That's where I will go when I finally pull the trigger. Have you started yet? What's the tuition?

On a day when you are not doing anything hang out in the truck stop for a little bit. You'll probably get a guy from snidey passing through. At any rate you can check out some other company drivers as well. Good Luck!

    mickimause and hal380 Thank this.

I need some help I have a CDL AP learners permit I made some stupid mistakes in my life that will haunt me for the rest of my life as well as putting a tag on me that says I'm a felon I cant blame no one but myself and I take full responsibilities for my action I finally realize in 2006 that I need to get myself together because its more then life then living in hell so I made a promise to myself and for my children that when I got out of the situation that I was in that I will become a man and the father that they need me to be as of this day I have been and will continue to live by my word. I've been listen to folks that say trucking companies will give a felon a chance depending on the felon I knew I didn't have any kidnapping or rapes on my jacket so I said I will take a step in that direction so I went and got the book and studied. I went to Georgia DDS building took the 3 written exams and pass them I was so excited when I received my learners permit I thought I was going into the right direction I even went as far as applying for the federal bonding program which provides employers with limited liability coverage at no cost to them when they hire job applicants who cannot be covered by there commercial bond I figure by doing this it will give me a notch under my belt and more ammunition for someone to hire me but with all of this I got and guess what no one still wants to touch me they say that my convictions isn't 7-10 years old I don't understand that because to me a conviction is a conviction no matter how old it is at the end of the day we all is in the same position which is a convicted felon I even tried the companies that people say they accept felons either they don't do the training or they talking about the conviction length can someone please give me some type of advice.
