    Yep

    The load is worth $304

    O/O is paid $291

if we assume that the FSC is $35 then the O/O is making $256 (291-35) for the load plus the FSC

256 divided by 304 is .84 so O/O is making 84% of the total load plus the FSC

Company driver 25% of the load no FSC
O/O 84% of the load plus $35 FSC

Although I believe on a 20 mile load that the FSC wouldn't be that high but I don't know enough about it to say for sure.

We can't compare apples to apples until the OP gives us the gross linehaul revenue on his settlement sheet, his overall percentage that is deducted from gross (percentage plus deductions/fees/charges), and his FSC.

    Time4Change Thanks this.

it wouldn't matter either way, if a driver is set on believing a company is digging in their pockets, it's what they're going to believe no matter how many different ways you explain it to them.

the OP gave us enough number for us to figure it out, why some didn't get it is beyond me. heck, even after explaining it fully, some still didn't get it.

    We're our own worst enemy.

The O/O is suppose to make 75% correct? Not the reported 85%... Correct? This is the typical sign that there is something up. Are there other charges besides FSC? Clerical charges? Again Unknown... The point IS that the company drivers 25% pay minus the FSC SHOULD be VERY close(within a buck or two) to the O/O's 75% WITHOUT FSC when the math is done...

CLEARLY, by your own math it is NOT... There is a 9% discrepancy.

I never saw where the OP stated that the O/O only got 75%

Just to make it clear, there's a 50% gap between 25% and 75%. And I have no clue where that 75% came from.

Nobody is going to be able to do accurate math until we know the o/o percentage and fuel cost and location for fuel surcharge. Give me those 2 things and I'll show you the math.

well, i thought the issue was that the OP believed that someone was taking money off the load because the company drivers were getting $76 a load.. the math I and another poster were providing was to show that if someone was taking money from the load, then the OP would be getting pretty much 100% of gross.. That's all we were doing.

We just wanted to show, that with the numbers we were provided, we were able to concure that the OP was getting more then 75% of the load.. Upwards to 85%... What the exact percent is, no one knows except for the OP, but what we do know is that no one is skimming from the load as long as the OP is getting normal rates which is somewhere between 75%-90%..
