I was going to say and what's your point??? I've had two flats in last two weeks one was a Loves tech the other a local shop, both done in an hour. Needed airbag replaced was routed to first Loves without any question. So, crzyjarmans what are you leaving out from your story as we don't use T/A.

Is USA buying cheap tires? I heard they were near bankruptcy.

never had no problems with tires from them. But, not sure how they would be in bankruptcy because they try their best to pay you little as possible. if we stayed with usa we would went under. their payroll has no clue what they doing. Got 1000 sign-on and took 400of it for taxes. did orientation aand they paid me then took it out of my check. I became o/o this crap is for the birds. want to starve work for usa.

USA uses recap tires and they cause a lot of problems. Many of the trailers have bent cross members above the trailer wheels from recaps blowing off. Recently one of the recaps blew off of one of my drive tires and smashed up the fan and radiator on my APU. Seems to me that it would be cheaper in the long run to just buy new tires.

That's a government thing. Same thing happened to me but also in an office job $1000 sign on and $400 went to the government

Did a relay at the T/A truckstop just west of Oklahoma City, Ok. The other driver gave me a trailer that had 2 bad tires (flat spots and cut sidewalls), I called our road assistance help line, pressed #1 for tire issues, talked to a service rep, told them my exact location, tire size and issues. She said she would call me back as soon as she could find a vendor in the area, 5 minutes later she called me back, and told me that a Love's technician would be out in about 45 minutes. Tech showed up in about 30 minutes, 15 minutes later he had both tires changed out, and I was back on the road, heading for California.
As for the bonuses that USA pays out, the Government takes their share, it has nothing to do with USA cheating you out of your bonus.
Now finally, for the drivers that are crying about making no money. I don't know if you have a crappy fleet manager, or if you like taking long breaks, and stoping at every truck stop along your route. I have no problems getting the miles needed. Every once in a while, I run in to problems at shippers, with load not being ready, or they didn't have any empty trailers to pre load, but that can't be blamed on USA. If you're a driver, willing to run, and you're not getting the miles you think you should be getting, communicate with your Fleet Manager, if that doesn't work ask to speak to the Operations Manager, and if still getting nowhere, call the driver retention hot line. USA truck has the miles, and if you have a good Fleet Manager, they should be able to keep you moving.

We do occasionally use the T/A and Petro for repairs, but it's a last resort, when nothing else I available.

You were talking about trailer you were left with. Mine had 4 tires, 3 on right hand side needed replaced, missing mud flap, landing gear handle bent with shaft broken, 200 turns to go up, won't go down, and I got the lights to finally work. This was all on same trailer.

That is one thing that I hate about USA truck, they don't hold the drivers responsible for getting the repairs done. It falls on the drivers that take pride in what they do, and want to do things by the book. Creating more down time for the drivers that care about keeping a good record.
