Hi Guys,
I've been dring a week since my birthday and didn;t realize my license expired the day after my birthday. (I an idiot) The carrier im leased to finally figured it out and put me out of service in New York. I live in PA. Of course PA doesn't allow renewal over the internet for CDL holders. I was gonna call them tomorrow and ask if i can fax document instead of mail to get it expedited. Problem is they only accept checks. Has anyone ever delt with this? I cant go there in person since im 100 miles away from the PA border and 150 from the nearest penndot. Anyone have any experience dealing with renewing CDL's from our of home state?
Thanks,
Cody

I believe the reason they don't electronically renew is that You need a new picture for CDL renewal. You need to get there.
-
Not sure how much CA differs from PA, but corrections and renewals usually have to be done in person.
Their main concern is most likely identity theft. -
Can.t get caught driving without cdl any more, bus ride or have someone give you a ride from truck stop to 1st city inside state line and get renew CDL.

Rent a car, take the bus, catch a plane, hitchhike, walk, how bad do you want to keep making money? Not much you can do, because you can't do anything without it. This is one of those lessons that you get to learn the hard way, you have to look out for yourself, because no one else will until its to late.
milskired, passingthru69, pattyj and 2 others Thank this. -
Hey Richter, just a suggestion (i was going to say rent a car -but realized that wouldn't work since you have no License).
Can you get the company to have a nearby company driver take you into PA -renew -and rent a car back ?
Seems to me they would be interested in making it happen -or spend the time and money to recover the truck.
I cant figure out how/what you could do other than hitching rides or taxi to a bus terminal to get you into PA.
Where are you in New York -small town ? Big city ?
Just saw Oscars post. If you give location maybe an O?O is near by willing to haul you a few miles. -

Im at the southbound rest area in Hannacroix NY in I-87.
I'll try to see if i can fax and have friend drop off a check and get photo later
OR get an extention
OR get company to help me out
If none of those work, ill see if any TMC drivers or O/O are heading south. Thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately im a complete idiot that didn;t remember birthday time is renew CDL time.
I already put a reminder in my phone for 1 year an 9 months from now when i will need to renew again. -
This blows.. sorry to read, that's why I keep saying, every load we take is an adventure.
You never know what goofy or wicked story is gonna happen.
