You just showed how little you apparently know about O/O or L/O operations. Mileage pay is .90 per mile, yes. HOWEVER, you seem to have forgotten about the fuel surcharge which at current fuel prices should be at least $0.45 per mile.

    1000 miles X $0.45 = $450 plus the $100 from your example = $550.00 per 1000 miles.

If a solo driver can do 2500 miles in a week that is $1325. If truck payment is $450 that leaves $875 for other expenses. Still may be low for some but let's make sure we are completely truthful about what can be made. PLUS, if you drive it right you should be making 6 mpg average which changes the first assumption even more.

    1000 miles divided by 6 mpg = 167 gallons X $4.00 = $668 or an additional $132 per 1000 miles or an additional $330 for 2500 miles.

I understand. There are definitely a lot better deals out there and I am certainly not defending CRE. I was just trying to give a more accurate picture based on all the revenue that would come to the truck. I believe the previous post I quoted was an attempt to make CRE look worse than they are. Leaving out the fuel surcharge makes a big difference.

God does a lot of things, however, making truck payments is not on his to-do list.

    Neither is filling fuel tanks.

    GrandmaDebe,

You should have done the trial lease then a big 2.5yr lease. I will be happy if you can make it through this but will not be surprised if you do not. No offense intended at all.

I just hope they know they have to set aside money for their quarterly taxes. Not to mention social security and medicare tax. Lots of new lease ops have not done their homework and wind up in BIG TROUBLE with the IRS.
