What is the average rate per mile nationwide right now for a 53' van?

I don't have my own customers, not sure I want them. Sure it would be nice to get more money but I like my freedom coming and going whenever and not having to worry that if I don't service a customer at his command or at any given time including my weekends , I might lose the account.

 

Not every one can get there own customers unless you have some one in the undercover industry or a terror group. I have sent at least 65 proposals to many local and interstate companies, who will contract with 1-2 truck companys, (Walmart, Dollar General, Paper companies you name it and I have done it, and I have good references for last 5 years in business. But never got any reply to any of those. That does not mean you should not try it, its just me. My phone and email is tapped by some kind of Talibaan here, and open ended terrorism is going on. Allen Lund owes me over $3000 and he personally told me "F off" and the NJ court said the same thing dissmissed the case saying Allen Lund does not do business in NJ and we have no Jurisdiction over them, so "F off"
Any way as long you support this kind off terrorism you should be OK. Just go ahead and write a good strong cover letter introduce yourself as man of honor, and word, show some credits and go for it. Should do fine. Load boards especially DAT can give you last weeks rate averages from actual broker transections for another $50/month or so. Watch the posting rate and total weekly listings, very important. DAT is showing averages from bad market times to NJ sold for $3.95 /mile over 400 miles. The market at this time should be stronger and do not hesitate to ask for $5/mile on a 500 run to the northeast from Carolinas. DAT is the largest load board and the whole country depends on their reports, to plan for the future.

Here is a phone call made to Bear Log from TX, on this load from Ahoskie NC to Willinboro NJ this voice sample is supposed to be of Michelle Pappas, and listen to how she first has no clue what the rate is supposed to be, or how much they own it for!!! then she says $800 on a 450 miles run full load. This load is still posted, I would like some O/O call the number and record that voice for me, to prove that the FALSEHOOD is intercepting the phone calls.

If the FALSHOOD can change its name all the time so WTF is such a big deal. I do not mean to address who are brain washed trash behind the scene supports, I mean to address the general audience as O/Os who actually drive for living, not live off of some one else's sweat.

 

I just took a load for 1.70 per mile and near bobtailed out of this area rather than take it. Would have too except my SO would have given me heck (she don't yet grasp the entire business). That's power only in Florida. 2.50 is what it costs to turn my truck on in Chicago. 3+ is what I aim for.
You ought to get better than 1.7 anywhere else in the country from load boards. Just learn to say no, and don't start negotiations by lowballing yourself.

When are you going to get that there is no such thing as “what the rate is supposed to be”, who would be the one to decide that? There are just good rates, bad rates, and average rates, that is the essence of a free market. You are free to choice what rates are good enough for you and pass on the rest. Obsessing over ones that you do not think are good enough is just a waste of time and unhealthy.

 

If this is the actual rate to go to NY Middletown, then they were right about saying every one in the trucking company is putting money from their pocket to run the business. I am talking about so called my friends who are supposed to be from my church and they were put together in a group to give the pep talk about driving truck. They said you will have to fund from your pocket into it for at least about four years and then you will start driving to make a little bit money. Nice I have talked to hundreds of truckers if not thousands who say if you have your own authority and own a truck n trailer you should be making at least $3000-5000 /week with a dry van more if got involved into other giggs.
Now the friends who said this are the same who say that since Christianity does not prohibit the murder of women and children only Islam does, so its OK for them that they went after my children in Primary to High school and terrorized the and staged major crime upon the and had the police arrest them and kept under harassment in the dark room for absolutely no reason what so ever. Two trash-in-black type asshol*** were always in the area whether it was court in school or civil court. These punks do not think that any thing can hurt them. During these meetings, many times I was in full control of showing them "how it is done" but I did not have any clue what so ever.
But anyway the trash-behind -the scene has made me run empty again. Wish destruction to the terrors and any one who supports them.

The only way some one can do this kind of retarded things if they are backed by the terrors-behind-the-scene.
