Your best bet, is to do your drop, and bobtail to get fuel in brentwood. A lot of gas stations off of wicks road, or Washington ave, but I wouldn't pull in their with a trailer. Also their are a couple on the north service road lie where you could probably drop your trailer, go get fuel and rehook up, by 111 and 495 north service road, or Commack road and north service road also(LIE).

There is no real truck stops on long island its really just a gas station to be honest.

oh that was you? Jesus what is it about that stretch of freeway...

Not sure why. I think it would hilarious but awesome at the same time if they built a big full service TA in southeast Brooklyn. They've got the room. He'll theyre building a whole new shopping plaza in East New York along the belt parkway. There's a lot of open land not being used for anything particularly much around there. And there's a lot of shippers and receivers in that area.

Aalthough it is only a CITGO gas bar It is LISTED AS A TRUCK STOP so I posted it as a TRUCK STOP and would be easier to find as most might know of it as a TRUCK STOP

Yup. But you can get your truck and trailer up to the pump, and they are the only place on the island that accepts Comchek payment. According to them, anyway.
There's a lot more to the story, but I ended up parked legally on Lafayette Ave. in the Bronx at 1:30 in the afternoon while I waited for another truck to be towed out to me from Scranton, PA. The truck that they brought me (at 9:30PM) had a bad alternator, transmission problems and a coolant leak. Fun times.
That would be nice. The nephew of the owner of the CITGO that I went to in Commack said that there used to be a large truck stop out near Riverhead with lots of truck parking, but the residents of the island got their local elected officials to outlaw any type of truck stop / truck parking on the entire island and it had to shut down.
And according to them, the only place that accepts Comchek payment on the island. There is a Lowe's behind the Citgo that would probably allow overnight parking in a pinch - and Lowe's is always good for free Wi-Fi access. Walmart is also about 1/2 mile further up the road.
Yea, the garbage haulers know all the good spots. I'll add it to my list if they accept Comdata or Comchek payment. -

I use this all the time to check ahead on fuel prices, TStop locations if in a new area. Can search by interstate, route, state, etc. Use on your smartphone or laptop.
p.s. It will show the net price ( - tax) next to pump price when you plug in your city, state to city, state route you plan to drive. Try it out, great tool. -
Wind pretty sure they do take comdata---and now that I think about it--2 exits west om 495 past BQE Van #### St(sneaky way to 59th st bridge) fuel stop on that little triangle between svc road and Van ####--cant remember the brand--although I can clearly picture the Sinclair sign---LOL--couple of brandings ago.....
windsmith Thanks this.
