Omaha, NE at the Sapp Bros.
Another close day on my 70, shutting down with 3 minutes left.
Tomorrow will be the same, if I can make it to the Love's on I-76 just outside of Denver. I'm hoping for no construction or accident slow downs.
Good Night From II

That Loves in Bennett is not bad and has a grocery store next door. It usually still has room long after the Denver stops are full. If you can't make it there's always Limon...

Lordsburg, NM. Woke this morning with 2 pplans. Not really sure what my DM was thinking last night. First was a 44k beer load out of Van Nuys going to Nogales and then dh from there to PHX to pu and deliver to El Paso. Called the terminal and they even said that the second one made no sense at all. So declined both of them. After getting 6.8mpg with this load of totes, was not going to haul a 44k load of beer back over the mtns of CA.
Had a nice breeze when I parked here, and then 2 real professional drivers decided to nose in parking next to me. Both sides so now the back of their trailers is blocking me. All of the room in the world and they had to nose in.Last edited: Aug 9, 2014

At the FlyJ down the road from the OKC terminal.
Nice hazmat load from Atlanta to Tolleson, AZ Home Depot.
Getting nastygrams about bout needing a B-service soon on my new ProStar. I'm afraid the miles on this trip will put me over the limit and I'll be forced to do it at the Phoenix terminal. Ugh!! The last time I had it done there on my previous truck, a new Volvo, it took 3 days!! I was disgusted!!
I'm hoping I can snag another load with my mty and slip away back east and have it done anywhere else before I get slapped with a maintenance hold. I hope the planners don't try to give me something to Cali...I stopped doing that state last year when I had as much as I could stomach. I don't mind bringing loads out west as long as they're not CA, WA, or OR. Then it's back to Zone 910

I'm coming in via I-80 and I-76; Limon is 90 miles east of Denver on I-70. Not an option.

At home tonight. Tomorrow I take the last trip in the truck that I have driven for over 1 million safe miles (and I have the trophy to prove it). On Tuesday I head off to SLC to purchase the replacement truck, a 2011 387 Pete.
scottied67, Lepton1 and fr8monkey Thank this. -
Oof, not many options on I-76.
Congratulations on your million miles. Are you financing the new truck? -
i know u are the mpg king of swift, lol
Homage great one......did your striving to get great fuel mileage play a factor in picking that particular truck? Is it specially speced for your loads......I guess what I'm getting at is do u expect this new truck to do as well as your old one or even better?
scottied67 Thanks this. -

Hudson, CO at Love's off I-76.
Less than 20 minutes left on my 70, again. This load has used nearly every minute every day, which has been nice.
My home time request was for the 15th in Denver, but since I'm delivering in Aurora on the 11th I think I'll just start my home time. I've got 19 days in since I came back from my last home time, so hopefully it won't be a problem.
My daughter is ready to get back home after nearly 7 weeks on the truck. She misses everyone and they miss her, but she also wants to stay on the truck.
We got off to a slow start, being stuck in the north west for the first few weeks, but after 6.5 weeks she has been to 26 states.fr8monkey and scottied67 Thank this.
