well they would be able to back up if minimal damage instead of having to be towed out from under a overpass
heres an example of what happens now would u rather have this happen or a stop bar on the entry ramp. BTW he barely misses the first 2.

Not really. Truck going down the ramp to the Jackie Robinson off of the Van Wyk. There are cars lined up behind him. He hits the device, suddenly stops, and now there is a major multi vehicle collision. In Brooklyn. Not only is the traffic now a complete cluster for HOURS, but the cost is higher for the accident.

well the same thing is gonna happen when he slams into the overpass
-
So why spend the extra money? The only thing that's going to prevent this is common sense. There are signs all over the City to let truck drivers know, DO NOT USE THE PARKWAYS. There's not a device or gate or anything that's going to stop a dumb driver from making a really dumb choice.TomOfTx Thanks this.

Here. I'm going to share something with you. This happened in Salt Lake City. You would think this would not happen. There's no way. This one is too obvious. Nope. It happened.

that is SAD how stupid can you be
joseph1135 Thanks this. -
What I'm saying, I95, is that there is nothing that's going to stop the inevitable. Common sense has to come into play, and it doesn't. That's why you have these bridge strikes on the Parkways.

CRE Safety dept must have LOVED that

My favorite part to the second picture is the clueless driver standing there. He made it perfect.
