changed post since i read ur link...600 max for NJ....I think he lived in NJ. Either way....link is not a government site that is official and does not include other benefits. Some collect wellfare while collecting unemployment which obviously raises max limits.

Even if it was only 600/week according to about.com (not including welfare benefits he could have had)...thats 31200/year or 62400 over the 2 years he was unemployed and got extensions. Thats still 57200 more then he paid into the system. Either way, our tax dollars paid for him to sit on his but while we worked hard. I personally dont want the government to help me if i loose my job and i dont want to pay for it every week either. This insurance should be optional. The only way I will ever get money back is if I loose my job which wont happen.

Some areas have unemployment over 10%. Also some people like myself have not had a job in a long time because they were taking care of ill family. In the last year I have had a grandfather a grandmother and my brother die, only to have my mom suffer a stroke after that.
You might want to get off that high horse of yours before someone knocks you off it.
BTW i was told by my recruiter at SWIFT that they do not require the notery of unemployment anymore and that she does not know why its still even listed. I am going to confirm that with her again when i call her in the next day or 2 when my CDL permit arrives to setup my class start date.wyldhorses Thanks this.
