Hey everyone new here and I have a few questions as I'm just getting ready to go to a trucking school here in Oregon. I was just wondering about a few misdemeanors that I have on my record 1 happened about 20 years ago I trusted someone who I thought was my friend to drive my car so he could go to a job interview and he stole some gas with it and blamed me. I ended up doing a weekend in jail because of it. The other one happen about 15 years ago when I got caught driving with an expired license that I didn't realize had expired. I have not had a traffic violation in the last 7 plus years now and really would like to know how these mistakes that I made in my past will effect my chances of getting a good job in the industry.
Thanks

I think youll be fine because those tings happened 15+ years ago. They usually only look back 3 years on traffic violations.

With that background even NASA would hire you

Just don't go to Canada without calling customs first to make sure you are perfect enough to enter. Only model citizens allowed to cross the border. In either direction (reciprosity).

You're fine buddy. I wouldn't worry about finding a job.

I wouldn't worry about it. Any company that would care about something that far back is worth the time. Except for drug convictions. You should look into getting those convictions expunged. Make it a lot simpler for you. As far as Canada goes, take rockyroad74's advice and call up there.
