Strange job offer

But renting does avoid that i thought.. just dawned on me its a broker running freight under the radar, or just a scam get you to run for a week or 3 when he dosnt pay its not his truck you abandon... i wouldnt sign for a truck in someone elses name.


Edit: you will be wired money to rent? In your name its on you, probly the 14 cents a mile also or whatever there charging these days. Id ask for a few driver refrences.

 

Sounds unusual..... you never mentioned the company name.

 

If the employer is doing something illegal and the truck is in your name, guess what? You're facing charges. This is shady as heck. You're smart to pass this one by.

 

Long as you log it legal, you'll be fine!

Did you find them on craigslist? Sounds like it came from there.

 

I'd say no.

 

This is a scam! I can almost guarantee somewhere along the way their going to send a check or money order to cover the cost of the rental...but it will be more than you need for rental and they will ask you to forward money to someone else for any number of reasons.
