Trucking company's that do hair folicle testing?

i have a simple solution to all those worried about drug testing and what kind they do etc....DONT DO DRUGS...or if you do or have recently...DONT TRY TO be a truck driver.....problem solved....cuz if you test positive...you wont be truckin...

 

Amen, nothing to ad and if anyone thinks they can slip it is a matter of time before you are caught.

 

That is the truth. It ALWAYS catches up with u. 1995 I was caught in posession in Idaho and did a 6 month stretch. I will never regret getting caught, it opened my eyes. Like they say, "With age comes wisdom". Life is much more enjoyable without the drugs. U cant really live life on that crap. Take care and Be safe out there drivers.

 

I understand the reason for companies wanting to do hair follicle testing but I’m curious if they are testing for same Standard DOT Urine drugs or is it something much more elaborate like what prescription medicines you take, etc?

 

hair folicle goes back farther than a standard urine test....depending on the length of hair taken the "typical " test can go back 90 days....but if more hair is taken (longer strands) they have the ability to go back farther....they are wanting to see if a driver got cleaned up long enough to pass a test...or......

 

Actually the DOT wants nothing to do with invading citizen's privacy. You are mixing them up with insurance companies. Just another way to blame any company fault on the drivers. Very sad scenario. As the company can use that hair follicle testing to go back several years, if desired, and burn drivers for even drinking alcohol on their own time. Very sad situation indeed! Power to drivers.
