I dont know what your plans are for hometime but i would advise driving your own vehicle. I know it is a long drive but it will be easier for you to get home and you can stay home a little longer. Nobody uses your truck while on hometime and they can service it.

i and airbreeze both drive... i live in cookeville and he lives north of crossville.

we usually stay out 4 to 5 weeks and go home 5 or 6 days.

My only worry with doing that is i drive a 3/4 ton Chevy so it would cost me around 2-3oo dollars in gas to go the almost 200 miles google is saying it is.

Just wanted to add that my hubby drives himself to the yard also. We are in Chattanooga. I have to say in all the years I've known him I haven't ever seen hubby be this happy with a truck driving job. He loves the fact they don't babysit him while he's out there.

Hope you enjoyed your home time! Hubby came in Monday and is going back out again Friday. Nice to see him not dreading going back to work like he used to. :)

You drive a pick up that cost over a $1.00 a mile to drive? I think I'd sell it or junk it as I doubt anyone could afford to drive it. It must look cool sitting in the driveway. 200 miles at 10 miles to the gallon is 20 gallons X $4 a gallon = $80.00 Something must be wrong here.
