I have been talking with prime but they seem to be giving me the run around is there any good paying jobs that offer cdl training hear is my issue tho. I am employed now can't afford to go without a job so would like something like prime offers paid wile training and assistance on lodging and I do not have a highschool diploma. But I do have a very clean record and would like a few days home time monthly at least any info or tips can help. Also on leasing trucks can anyone share info on that are you renting or rent to own and will that be a bad idea if so how can I avoid it

Put your location on your profile. Need to know the hiring area you live in.

There are allot of companies that do offer paid training, and depending on where you live, Central, Knight, Swift, and Schneider, I think all offer paid training. You need to really research these "CDL Mill" companies though. Home time, can be and is suggestive. You are on the companies dime and most will try and get you home if they can, I worked for a company that if I asked for home time, they would have to route me east to get to a place that had higher chance of getting me west, I missed National Guard drill once because of that. (if that gives you any idea) I guess if they have a difficult time getting someone home for drill, well, what would they do to someone that just wants to go home to be home...(just food for thought). Sorry I can't really offer any advice on lease or rent to own.

I know its wishful thinking but I'd love to get a local job like Walmart DC or Borden dairy for the hone time but I have no idea how I can do that without cdl experience

Good, most every company will take you.

Millis Transfer is one of the best.

Don't lease a truck from a mega-carrier. If you want to be an owner-operator, wait until you have 12 months experience then buy truck through Cardinal Logistics or Farm2Fleet.

You will be a company driver with Millis. No company can make you sign a lease anyway; that's voluntary. Millis has a good reputation for drivers and some good paychecks. Go with Millis; you pass their school; you're hired!
