I haven't seen this in a long time. I'm thinking about bringing it back in style. I could put another Wilson 5000 on and light up both sides full of lights. I was just wondering if anybody else remembered them. Mr. Skinner I'm sure you do.
Anybody remember lights on your antenna?

Do you mean the ones that lit up when you keyed the mic?
-
I had one of those. Which reminds me...thank you....I need to look for a noise 'toy'.
-
Yes, the little florescent lights you tape on your whip. I used to see them quite a bit. You can't have them if your a hide in the bunk trash talker.

Back when Il., Mo., and Ar. were the barrier states and we were running back roads in the middle ot the night trying to be inconspicuous we would invaribly end uo with some ratchet-jaw tagging along lighting up the night sky and drawing heat.
-
Yea, when I do that I usually don't say a word. If I'm running with someone we will go to another channel. I hate that though. I know what I have to do. With a ratchet jaw guy, you end up with a freakin convoy. Most of them don't need to go that way so that just gets attention. I'm with you.

I guess I'm alone or nobody else remembers them.

You aren't alone. That stuff was alot of fun. I usually ran with the same guys all the time from maine to Boston every night, we all did that stuff, had big radios, never on the same chanel twice. We all had a blast fooling around with that stuff. Looking back, I'd like to have all the money back that i spent on radios and such. Oh well, it was fun. See Ya

Boy I sure feel like a wet-behind-the-ears whipper snapper. I remember seein' one of these on a truck up around the Chicago area a few years ago. I remember thinking to myself, "Hmm, that's different. Must be something new."
