When i was a yard driver for walmart dc in tomah wi, I talked to alot of walmart drivers and they loved the money. They have Werner pull most of the grocery load there only the dry full pull loads were done by walmart drivers. Werner pays .33 a mile plus 20 a drop. schneider from Ill only made .25-.29 pulling walmart dc down there and 99% of them guys only had 6mo exp.

I currently work at Wal-Mart in Citrus heights I am a supervisor in recieving. I take pride in getting the drivers back on the road, I have NEVER had a driver waiting for over 30 minutes from begining of off load to him/her back in the drivers seat. Tipped over pallets or not, refers or dry, we take care of our drivers, at least at our Wal-Mart we do.
Anyways I am also looking to drive for Wal-Mart eventually, from talking to our drivers they all have told me that its 3 year minimum exp. before they will consider me. Not 1 driver I have spoken too has been un happy with where they are. Well except for that one England driver.

Well search for ""walmart stores"" then apply for a job in logistics can not post a link here it is against the site rules.
Or apply with CRE or Usxpress they have dedicated accounts with wally mart

I am in the process of getting my license, all i need to do now is just my yard skills and drive test, the rest is done.
I worked at Wal-mart for approx 3 years in Sacramento recieving supervisor. By speaking with the Wal-Mart drivers I became more interested in driving.
3 years exp is correct I asked the drivers and also called to verrify that. From my experiance dealing with the Wal-Mart drivers they ALL have seemed to be happy where they are and they spoke well of driving for Wal-Mart, I never in 3 years of off-loading trailers have had a bad experiance with a Wal-Mart driver or heard any negative comments. The same cannot be said about the England and Swift drivers that also delivered for Wal-Mart.
I am not talking down on Swift or England, I have no experiance working for either. Just commenting on what actual drivers would tell me.
