Sequel was just a knob turned up to much and the front face has some writing wore off so didn't know which knob was which talked guy down to $100 and bought it any info on the tricks and features of this radio would be awsome as to its my first big boy radio I've only had a 29 classic before this thanks

Probably mic gain or talk back. In your case since it is happening in two trucks we can probably rule out a ground issue. The modulation pot is probably turned up past 100% and the mic gain being turned all the way up is causing the feedback. A good tech with a scope could adjust the pot properly. Another thing could be talk back. Try turning talk back off or down.

Turning your mic gain should do it. No need to pay anybody to fix anything if that works. Most of my Galaxy radios I set at about 2 o'clock or a little less depending which mic I use. I have the good fortune of having a good tech down the street so I always have him check/re-tune any radio I buy. If you know one, I would let him/her go thru it just so you know what you got.
