Hello there, I have a recurring shutdown problem with my 2001 freightliner century (j55075). This truck dies after running for a few minutes, flashes abs and when I try to start it immediately, it doesnt start, (cranks but doesnt start), no power in dash, no buzzers, all gauges not working other than the radio. After it sits for a few minutes it starts right up. The idle shutdown is disabled.
I have replaced the solenoid, fuel pump and ECM (this is the second ecm after i thought first one was faulty)
Any ideas of what could be wrong with the truck?
    Thanks for your help

Only thing I can think of its to check the wiring harness as freightliner loves to do 90 degree bends and even make the harness double back on its self... my old truck would rub through the wiring in those areas. Hopefully someone else can actually be of assistance on this though as I cannot help much more than that. Good luck

First what kind of engine? Freightliners have a small computer under the dash behind the trash can its job is to cut power to accessories when there is low voltage. Check the battery cables

I had the same thing happen to a new pete that I was driving and the wiring harness shorted out in the frame and shut the thing down just like what yours is doing. It sounds like a regen would do you no good either.
