Do you ever just turn the unit off for a period of time? It's a windows based program so just like its larger PC counterparts it needs to be shutdown and restarted periodically (at least once a day maybe twice since you run teams) to free up the memory.

I agree something is not right in Dodge City. I would need to remote into your computer to see the 720, I want to look at some of your files on it.
Hard to narrow down without grabbing your files and putting on my unit to test. It could be you have corrupted files, either your user files or internal files, but at this time I would be speculating.
Wait till I get back from GATS and let's go from there.
Thanks,

hey Mark,
I am having a pretty big issue with my 720. after turning unit on, entering all the location info by the time it actually starts routing, the screen goes white and i have a 7 inch paper weight. this started @ 2 weeks ago. before that the unit was working fine. I finally got home and connected to the dock, ran the diagnostics, it said it found several issues, but it failed to correct anything. in fact, while i had it hooked to the computer via the usb, the screen went white again, see pic. (eventually the screen goes completely white/blank.)
suggestions? lol get me some passes to GAT and i'll bring it to ya on friday.
thanks,
Keith. -
I may be wrong but I'm thinking that is a power issue.

Have you tried the let it run all the way down to 0 battery then use the ac charger to fully charge it then so the reset and power button trick? I know mark has posted that a couple times it seems to refresh the battery or something.
Here's his directions to me
"Leave it off for about 12 hours and then plug it in AC or DC for about 3
hours... then press the reset and power for about 10 seconds.."Last edited: Aug 21, 2014

(A) are you using the Rand original 2 amp cord?
(B) have you done the plug-squeeze trick talked about here dozens of times?
(C) have you tried plugging it into the AC or DC adapter until that light in the upper-right turned green? If so, was the screen still white afterward?
Side notes: in your picture it is connected to a computer and the light at the upper-right is red. A computer USB port does not have enough juice to charge it, so it will turn "white" even when connected to the USB of a computer if the battery is low. If it is less than a year old or if you have an extended warranty, it isn't a paper-weight because it is under warranty if something like the screen is actually bad.
And finally, yes - Mark and many Rand people are at GATS. They are always prepared to fix things at their booth if you are going to the show.teqntexas Thanks this. -
1. yep using the Rand 2 amp cord that came with it in the box.
2. yep done that, learned that trick on the 2nd one that i had, plus i rarely unplug the unit, pretty much always unplug it from the 12 volt pwr source.
3. not yet will do that tonight.
the picture was just an example of what it looks like. learned on earlier ones that it won't really charge while on the computer. i was trying to run the diagnostics at the time it did it and that's when i took the picture. safer to take and post that pic than take and post when it was happening while driving down the road. understand what your saying there though and appreciate the tips.
I'll try plugging it in tonight and we'll see what happens, and if it works, great, i'll still stop by and say hi to Mark at GATS tomorrow. he's def helped me out in the past.

Just my luck...recently purchased a 720 to replace one that eventually died, and RM announces 730. Hehe
