Lol I driver tanker. I average 42K-45K lbs every load. Drive a 2014 peterbilt with the pacar motor and a 10 spd transmission. I am governed at 70mph and use the speed all the time. I average 7.8 mpg. So they need to look at how they spec their trucks.RERM Thanks this.

Are you subject to dispatch to Canada? Limit to 65. BTW... the company guys have to get 7.5 week over week, and have been required to do that for a couple of years now. Don has retired, but the policy always was set by our owner.

Duh actually read the post, prime trucks arent as slow as swift or tmc or cr england
-
65 limit only applies in Ontario.

Cool, If it's profitable for you, go for it. Personally, our bonus takes more into account than mpg, and I've hit it every quarter, so to each his own. Personally I pass Prime trucks all day long, and you guys are always paying attention and let me by....
Good Luck driver!!!ironpony Thanks this. -
And the provincial cops will pull you over and download your ECM.
-
I dont go tp Canada. Never will.
I guess I wasnt clear. I do not work at prime. -
Well our tanker guys do, so perhaps it's something else than "spec's??"

Serious question
how do Prime trucks climb mountains? its difficult enough to do with a running start of 62MPH, I can't imagine how much harder it is starting off 10mph slower
