If you can go to IITR it is an accredited school meaning you get collage credits the one in clackomas is close to you the do have living quarters if needed. The last week of the school local recruiters come in by the time you graduate you have a job.
I went there for my "retraining" I let my CDL go in 99.
Had to start driving again all the company's wanted school so I payed for it and went to a company that I had been talking to for a while.

For me its a 2 hour drive to Portland so I guess thats not so bad. I seem to have limited companies I can work with because I am too far from Portland by like 15 miles I think. I couldnt believe that.. I am so eager to start this so any helpful advice is welcomed. Thank you!

I just got awarded a grant from CSC (Community Services Consortium) to pay for my tuition and fees to go to IITR in Creswell and I am seriously looking at Watkins & Shepard to drive for as I like the possibility of being in a truck in about 2 weeks (paid orientation) I'v read good and bad, but I expect to read good and bad from pretty much most companies. But as they have a terminal in Vancouver and I live on the coast as well, if they will hire me I think it will be a good fit. I start class Dec. 8th and grad Jan 2nd. Hope to see ya on the road :)
